Microsoft NAP
Network Access Protection (NAP) is a Microsoft technique to enable control over access using policies and end-point (user PC) health checks. This technique was introduced with Windows Server 2008.
One-Time Password
When using NAP “out of the box” the only ways of authenticated users is to use static password or client certificates. PointSharp Secure NAP now gives you the possibility to use One-Time Password. This is much stronger than static passwords and more cost effective and flexible than PKI based client certificates.
Better together
PointSharp develops all software using Microsoft tools with Microsoft environments as target. Tight integration with Microsoft Unified Access Gateway, Microsoft Threat Management Gateway and Windows Server gives new possibilities to NAP usage.
Secure
PointSharp have long experiences of security software development and have fully used that fact to develop a unique both secure and user friendly product.
Auto deployment
Our client software is all built as “plugins” to already existing Microsoft software. The client software installations can be fully automated using Active Directory GPOs and automated when the user login.
Flexible policies
Both different machine types and different user groups can have different demands on the end-point policy. Your employees can have one NAP policy and partners, consultants or any other user group can have another.
User friendly
PointSharp Secure NAP offers a user friendly approach to provide a One-Time Password while the user is accessing. It's possible to interact with a normal application client as well as in the standard windows logon process.
