About Pointsharp
Pointsharp is a Swedish IT security company in the IAM market, which was founded in 2006, with the goal that security must be easy and never stand in the way of the user.
The same goal is still our guidance and today we secure data, digital identities and access for around 3,000 customers worldwide. Today we are 130 employees in our offices in Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands and Finland, and we are still growing.
Thesis description
We would like to welcome applications for conducting a MSc/BSc thesis project within the cybersecurity area. The project will be located at our office in Sickla, Sweden, with the intention to investigate a for Pointsharp interesting area and implementing a.k.a. coding a proof of concept on the area. We are of course open for discussion and any suggestions to align the aim and scope of the project with prospective students.
We would like to investigate and implement on various areas and the following could serve as a list of interesting subjects open for discussion:
- Infrastructure as code - Handling of cloud services and the Pointsharp platform in a programmatic manner. E.g. when a customer signs up it would be possible to spin up instances of the Pointsharp product in the cloud.
- Distributed Applications - Utilizing the Orleans .NET project for a distributed application and also research other possible frameworks such as DAPR, NATS, et al.
- WebAssembly - Utilizing this new tech - e.g. the Blazor .NET project - for building the future front-ends in the Pointsharp platform.
Mandatory Requirements
- We build our software on the .NET platform as well as on the Java platform. We foresee that you have taken university courses in programming, network security, internet protocols and/or other cybersecurity areas.
- We require you to be a EU citizen and living in Sweden – preferably in the Stockholm area.
- We require you to talk fluently two of the following: Swedish, English and German.
- This position may require security clearance according to Swedish law.
If any of the above is not fulfilled, we really have no possibility to engage in this project together.
