Updates to our Pointsharp Secure Information Exchange solution enable a better overview and user experience for users, along with improved security for admins.

Our Secure Information Exchange solution is already trusted by thousands of users daily to enable secure file transfers to anyone. Today, we are enhancing our already great user experience, while also providing better control over sent files and improved security for admins. 

Transfer management for all users

Within our Secure Information Exchange solution, the Cryptshare components are essential for users transferring large or sensitive files. In this release, we are adding a transfer manager to all users of Cryptshare for Outlook (formerly Outlook on the web, or OWA) and Cryptshare for Notes and Domino.

  • The transfer manager allows users to:
  • See all their sent files
  • Check the status of their transfers
  • Revoke transfers
  • See who has accessed what files in the transfers

The transfer manager is already part of the Outlook (Classic) component, but it has been enhanced in this release, providing more information about users' sent files. 

This allows users to click on and check individual transfers directly within the client to see their status. This will help reduce the number of emails users receive about their transfers, as they get the information directly in their email client.

Users of the web application can now also view transfer status. This is a significant improvement for users who are not using the integrated feature in Outlook or Notes.

In addition to the transfer manager, Cryptshare for Notes and Domino offers a complete overhaul of the user interface, making it even easier to use. 

Improved admin security

We are also enhancing the Cryptshare server component with support for OpenID Connect (OIDC), enabling federated and SSO login. This greatly improves security for administrators and enables integration of Secure Information Exchange with the Pointsharp identity provider (IdP). The IdP integration also enables the server component to use all secure authentication solutions supported by the organization's IdP.

Customers using our IdP and Access Management solution can now enable secure remote access to the Cryptshare server. It also makes managing access rights easier, as it is centralized through our solution.
